This in an amazing story for me. Stepping stone for Paulus & I. Many people presume that Sabah Malaysia Health Care also known as SM Health Care Sdn Bhd, the medical company that we have set up and is running smoothly was my idea. Well the truth shall be revealed in this blog of mine.
In mid 2008, Paulus & I were facing with a financial crisis. I believe many of our love ones know that we are actually running a multimedia company in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia. I decided to get a job to enable us to sustain TraxMultimedia, Our multimedia company www.traxmultimedia.com.my
I registered myself in jobstreet, managerial post. One fine day, I saw a position in a medical company as a branch manager in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. I spoke to Paulus and we decided to give it a short not knowing what’s next. Firstly, medical is not my line, secondly I am not good at road but I decided to go for the interview and was shocked to see that the existing branch manager was someone I knew. She was with the Director of the company. They both interviewed me. Being honest is always the best solution. I was honest to tell them that medical is not my background and that I am specialized in multimedia. I also told them that I was not good at roads. When I left the place I knew deep down I won't stand a chance. Not only because of my weaknesses that I have mentioned but I also saw the stacks of interview forms that shocked me. Paulus was waiting for me outside. I told him of the situation and we just prayed and trusted Our Jesus for directions. We were both relaxed.
Two weeks later, I got a call from the company and was accepted with the salary I requested. I was over joy and at the same time was a bit stress since I got the offer with a high salary thinking that I won't be able to perform coz I was new to medical. My God is so good. He leads me down in green pastures. Words cannot explain how many miracles I have experienced. I was sent for training in West Malaysia for two weeks. Started the job and was so blur when visiting Dr's and nurse's in various hospitals. I really thank God that I not only carry His favor but He has blessed me with favor from Men. Everywhere I went; people liked me and were willing to help me whenever I asked. Another testimony about being authentic. I told them that I was new, sometimes when they asked me about certain products I even asked them how I spelt it. It was really a challenged for me. Not only just marketing but running the company in Sabah. Being a branch Manager, colleagues expected me to be smart and know all things and make decisions. I continued just trusting in God. I managed to get a few Purchase Orders and each time I got a Purchase Order I reported to my wise husband. "Babe, I got P/O again". He would just smile each time I told him. We share loads of things together. He knew that working as a Branch Manager in the Medical Company was a huge challenged for me. He knew it was tough for me as I shared with him. Something happen in the office that I wasn't happy and I felt as though people were accusing me for spending RM1,000 from petty cash to buy personal things which obviously was not true. I am the kind of person who believes that my work place is a place that I must enjoy going everyday and not a struggle. I don't mind being busy but I must still be happy. I told Paulus that it is my time to resign, I don't want to work there anymore and without me knowing he registered a medical company by himself and when I resigned he said it’s ok, you can still continue the medical company, we try since I registered a new company. I was shocked. That same week, my beloved cousin Ami, called me saying you know Helga, we have been dreaming to do business together for years. I want to make that dream come true since she felt that she had nothing to lose and that she was also going through some struggles in K.L. She just called me saying she already booked a one way ticket to Sabah. I was again shocked. Being someone who believes there is no co-incidence in life. I told Ami, ok we start the medical company. I introduce to you the people I know and that we go from there. I asked her to do the sales as I will be the one sourcing for products and doing the office work. Not wanting to pressure her too much, I told her you only concentrate on sales. Well, she has been doing that until now. Wow.. all glory to Jesus. Our business is booming. The favor of God is in our company. Even the Multimedia Company, Paulus in charge is also being blessed right up till to date.
Life is good in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. We are busy.. Yes but we are busy and our business is our place of ministry. We work, laugh, pray and do loads of things together for Jesus. Working place is our ministry today. We want to give our best service to our customers. We want to portray Jesus in our work place.
Why am I sharing in this blog?
Well, I want to encourage you, as you read my testimony do trust in the Lord with your journey on this earth. He is a good God. People may condemn you like I experienced when we started the business. My ex-company felt that I betrayed them and plan to open a company but it wasn't that way. I did not explain to them I just felt if I explained, they would think that I am trying to justify my case. Give it to Jesus. He will make a way where there seems to be no way.
Today, we have moved to a bigger office. We have our own brand & a wide range of products. Jesus has been blessing us abundantly. I give Him all the glory. Jesus you are so so good :-) Thank you Jesus for seeing me through.
